General Guidelines

MACS Career & Education (MACS) takes your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy applies to all of our customers. It also applies to visitors to our free web sites.

MACS takes strong measures to protect your privacy. First, we only ask you to provide information that we need in order to deliver the service or information you have requested. Second, we don’t share the information you have given us without your permission to do so.

Collection of your Personal Information

MACS may collect anonymous personal information, including your: 

Name, email address, demographic information, education information, residency information, information about any transaction you conduct or submit to on or through the tools on macscareer.com.

“Personal information” is information through which you can be identified.  We do not collect any personal information about you unless you voluntarily provide it to us. However, you may be required to provide certain personal information to us when you elect to use certain products or services.

COPPA Compliance

MACS Career complies with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998. We do not accept personally identifiable information online from children under the age of 13. If we become aware that our records contain such information, we will delete it.

Sharing Information with Third Parties

MACS does not sell, rent, or lease its customer lists to third parties.

MACS may disclose your personal information, without notice, if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to: conform to the edicts of the law or comply with legal process served on the Company or the site; protect and defend the rights or property of MACS; and/or act under exigent circumstances to protect the personal safety of users of the Company, or the public.

Usage of Cookies

MACS may use a software technology called “cookies” to create a personalized Web experience. Cookies cannot be used to find your name, email address, or anything that is uniquely identifying about you unless you provide that information.

Passive Collection of Data

We maintain logs of site usage in order to evaluate our visitors’ interest level in areas of the web site, which and how many pages they look at, how long they stay on the site, and what Web browsers are used. This data is tracked in aggregate form, not at an individual user level, and is not uniquely identifying. The aggregate level data may be shared with third parties and the public.

If you are a California resident, you may have the following rights under applicable California law regarding personal information collected by College Transitions. 

Right to Know. Twice in a 12-month period, request what personal information we collect, use, share, disclose, and/or sell, as applicable.

Right to Correct. You may have the right to correct inaccurate information that we maintain about you.
